Our Philosophy
This is not a
public speaking course
Most communication training teaches you to perform better. Nexus Voices does something different: it helps you find what's already true — and learn how to share it.
We start with real moments. A decision that cost you something. A time your identity was questioned crossing a border. The conversation where you finally found the words. These are not exercises — they are the material.
Through structured reflection, peer listening, and embodiment practice, you develop the capacity to tell your story with clarity, presence, and impact — in any room, across any culture.
"Stories are not accessories to leadership. They are the infrastructure of meaning, belonging, and trust."
Not this
Generic public speaking frameworks, scripted elevator pitches, or performance techniques that disconnect you from yourself.
Voice Excavation
Finding the stories only you can tell — the ones rooted in real experience, cultural identity, and lived leadership.
Embodied Presence
How you show up in the room — voice, body, breath — so that presence becomes something others feel, not just hear.
Cross-Cultural Translation
Adapting message, tone, and delivery across audiences — without losing your authentic voice or flattening your specific truth.
Cohort Learning
Insight that emerges from the room itself — through peer dialogue, live feedback, and the diversity of a carefully curated group.
Who This Is For
Built for leaders who
live between worlds
What do we mean by "cross-cultural"?
Cross-cultural leaders are not defined by passport or birthplace. They are defined by experience — by the specific intelligence that comes from navigating between worlds, identities, and contexts that others take for granted.
Leaders & Managers
Navigating complexity and influence across diverse teams — where your story is the difference between compliance and commitment.
Founders at Inflection Points
Launching, scaling, or raising — the story you tell is the difference between a pitch that lands and one that doesn't.
Creators & Communicators
Your platform grows as far as your voice is clear — developing the consistent, authentic narrative that turns an audience into a community.
Leaders Stepping Up
Moving into a senior role or new arena — developing the leadership narrative that matches who you are becoming, not just who you have been.
Diaspora & Returnees
That between-worlds experience is not a gap in your story — it is the story. Nexus Voices helps you name it, shape it, and use it as the leadership asset it has always been.
Southeast Asia's Rising Voices
Building something global from a region the world is only beginning to understand on its own terms. Tell your story without shrinking it to fit someone else's frame.
No professional speaking experience required — only a willingness to show up, reflect, practice, and learn with others.
How It Works
The journey from
salon to fellowship
Nexus Salon
An intimate evening at a curated cultural venue. A thought leader shares their real cross-cultural leadership story. A guided storytelling exercise. You experience the methodology firsthand.
Fellow Selection
Submit your application. Selected applicants are invited into a personal conversation with the 10 Nexus team. We look for leaders with a real story and the readiness to go deep with a small, committed cohort.
Nexus Voices Cohort
Four sessions over four weeks. Three live online evenings plus one in-person Graduation Salon. Learning comes from the cohort itself — peer story circles, live feedback, and shared accountability.
The Methodology
Three proprietary frameworks.
One complete journey.
Developed by 10 Nexus and expert faculty, The Nexus Method™ takes you from excavating the story only you can tell, to delivering it with your full voice. Specific exercises, prompts, and tools are shared inside the program.
S.T.O.R.Y.™
The foundational excavation methodology of Nexus Voices — from surface to source.
ARC™
The structure and philosophy behind every powerful act of leadership communication.
V.O.I.C.E.™
Five tools for telling your story powerfully in any room — taught alongside the A.C.T. Method.
Specific exercises, prompts, and frameworks are shared inside the program only.
The Cohort Experience
Four sessions.
One transformation.
Each session builds on the last — from excavating your story to embodying and sharing it publicly. The arc mirrors the cross-cultural leader's own journey.
Evening
The Story You Already Carry
"What made you the leader you are?"
We begin not with techniques but with truth. Through deep reflection prompts and peer dialogue, you surface the real moments that have shaped your leadership — the crossings, the tensions, the turning points. Fellows work in pairs: one shares, one witnesses.
Evening
Shaping the Narrative
"How do you tell it so it lands?"
Raw experience becomes purposeful story. We work with our proprietary story architecture framework — built for cross-cultural leaders. Fellows draft their core leadership story and share it within the cohort for structured feedback.
Evening
Voice & Presence
"How do you show up when you tell it?"
The story is only as powerful as the presence behind it. This session draws on the A.C.T. Method — developed by Kathy Uyen — to help fellows ground their voice in the body, not just the mind. Each fellow shares their story live with the full cohort.
Salon
Amplify — Sharing Beyond the Room
"Who else needs to hear your story?"
An in-person salon at a curated cultural venue — open to an invited audience of 20–30 cultural leaders, founders, and community members. Fellows share their refined stories. For Cohort 1, Ambassador Ted Osius joins as witness and guest. Art walk, story sharing, guided dialogue, and supper club dinner.
Thought Leaders
Voices who open
the room
Former U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam (2014–2017), diplomat, and global bridge-builder. His career embodies cross-cultural leadership: building trust across vast cultural distances through presence, story, and genuine relationship.
Cohort 1 Salon Finale · Session IV GuestOne of Vietnam's most respected business leaders and cross-cultural connectors — a model of Southeast Asian leadership with global reach, and exactly the kind of story Nexus Voices was built to honor.
Future Cohort · Nexus Salons SeriesEmbodiment & voice practitioner joining for Cohort 1.
What Fellows Walk Away With
Not skills.
Capacities.
A refined leadership story
A real, personal narrative — structured, embodied, and practiced — that you can share in a boardroom, a salon, a podcast, or on a stage.
A grounded, embodied voice
Presence that comes from inside, not performance that sits on top. Breath, body, and voice working together in high-stakes moments.
Cross-cultural storytelling fluency
The capacity to tell stories that translate — that land across different cultural contexts without losing your specific truth.
A peer community that challenges you
A small, curated cohort who witnessed your story at its most unformed — and helped shape it. Relationships that endure long after.
Entry into the 10 Nexus ecosystem
Fellows are considered for invitation into Nexus Circles, future Salons, Rise Retreats, and the broader 10 Nexus Global community.
A story that lives beyond the room
The salon finale is filmed. Your story may become a podcast episode — properly produced, in your own words, carrying your voice further.
The Salon Experience
Every evening is
intentionally designed
From the first glass of wine to the final closing ritual — each element is curated to create emotional resonance, genuine connection, and an experience guests carry long after the evening ends.
Arrival & Art Walk
Wine, tea, ambient music. Guests experience artworks with 10 Nexus storytelling prompts.
Guided Art Reflection
A signature experiential element. Guided prompts. Candlelight, breath, paired dialogue.
Salon Conversation
The thought leader shares their story — live, intimate, unscripted. Then a storytelling exercise with the room.
Supper Club Dinner
12–20 curated guests. The table is the original social network — where relationships begin that outlast the evening.
Closing Ritual
A shared reflection. A celebratory toast. The moment the evening becomes a memory guests carry with them.

Your Story Starts Here
If you are at a transition point —
and want to clarify your voice
Nexus Voices is intentionally limited in size. Each cohort is carefully curated to bring together founders, leaders, and creators from diverse backgrounds who are ready to reflect, articulate their stories, and grow in how they communicate and lead.
